This new country park occupies the former Shrub End landfill site. About 25% of the area has been planted up with trees that are now well established, and the rest is a mixture of close-mown and rough grassland. There is a wild flower area near the main entrance.

On the south-west fringe of Colchester, accessed from James Carter Road (off Straight Road)
